Indiana Jones
Well, today I am going to see Indiana Jones with Sushiboy and his work. It should be fun, we'll see. I'll write you a review when I get home. Of course the best part of this whole thing is that the kids are going to a sitters!!! Yeah!!! I'm free! I'm free! At least for a few hours then I'll really be missing them.

Economic Stimulus Plan
Well, I have to say that I really don't buy into the whole Economic Stimulus Plan thing. We had planned on putting the money towards debt or savings because Hey, we don't mind a little extra. SIGH, I guess we're using it for the planned use. We'll be stimulating the economy through RC Willeys. We had decided before we did taxes that we needed a new mattress and were going to splurge a little and get a new one from the local scratch and dent clearance outlet. We also mentioned that we would really like to get a loveseat for downstairs since if we have even our family downstairs we don't have enough seats for everyone. (we only have the one loveseat and it seats two) When we have guest over guess who ends up sitting on the floor. That's right, me. Sushi mentioned that he really would like leather and I have to admit that I have grown accustomed to leather. It's great, if, I mean when my kids spill I just wipe it off and the couch isn't ruined. Best upholstry ever when you have kids. I looked in the local classifieds and people want an arm and a leg for their crappy used leather couches so we decided to look in the clearance outlet while we were there. We found a great one that will be delivered tomorrow. The mattress was delived today and I think we're going to need a step stool to get into our bed now! I am excited that I won't be sitting on the floor anymore when we have guests over too. We got some great deals so I really don't feel too bad about it at all. We got a $900 mattress for $400 and we found the leather love seat with the two reclining seats and the table between them for $600. It always feels a little crazy to walk out of the furniture store with nothing after we just spent $1000.00 but I am so excited to sleep in a nice mattress tonight and have great seating tomorrow! I'll post pictures of both tomorrow. How will you spend your economic stimulus check?

The Bellies
Well, sadly, the belly has popped out quite a bit within the last week. So, you kind of get a smaller belly picture. The person in the picture who looks ready to deliver is my little sister. She was here for a week from Michigan where her husband is going to law school. I think she is crazy to be flying when she has five weeks until she is due and she starts feeling a lot of pressure when she picks up her 18 month old. But she had a wedding to be to so she came. Nice of her, I would have said I couldn't make it. Anyhow, I thought it would be fun to get pictures of my 2 1/2 month pregnant belly and her almost 30 week pregnant belly. How often are you pregnant the same time as your sister? As a side note, my older sister is also pregnant. That's right, Mom and Dad get 3 new grandbabies this year. They're pretty excited. Enjoy the pics!

Cookiemonster and Cakes' movies
Cookiemonster and Cakes just came to me and begged me to film them in a "movie". Cakes is wearing her customary princess dressup clothes and they are so excited to be movie stars. Enjoy!
8 years and counting through eternity
Happy anniversary today Sushiboy! I'm so glad I married you, I'm glad we're working towards eternity together. I know life isn't perfect and that we sometimes get frustrated with each other but I look at other husbands and I couldn't have gotten a better one! You are the best for me. Here's looking at forever to grow to love each other more and more each day.

One Smart little cookie
Cookiemonster was fun yesterday, he surprised his Dad by counting to 40. He then proceded to understand that he could count to 100 by following the same pattern and even higher if he wanted to. I was impressed, this coming from a kid who isn't even in kindergarten yet. He will be in the fall and he will be one of the oldest kids in his class but even still, I'm proud of my smart little cookiemonster.

Happy News
Well, things seem to be far enough along to announce the good news. We are having another baby. December 2nd to be exact. If all goes according to plan. I have to have c-sections so that is the date of surgery, unless I go into labor or my water breaks or etc. I have been very tired and sick which is good news, that means we are probably not going to miscarry, I usually miscarry if I don't feel sick. I have already announced this to my family and very close circle of friends but I thought it was time to let the cat out of the bag. I need to get a picture of my belly now before it is huge perhaps tomorrow or something. But for now, enjoy the picture sent to me by babycenter

new keys
today I had to get some new keys for the new van, I remember back in the day when you could go to the local hardware store and get new keys. Our van only came with one set of keys so sushi and I have been switching back and forth since the end of February. I didn't mind but apparently sushi did and he let me know about the other day. So, I went to the Ford dealership today to get two new keys made because apparently they are the only ones who can make them. HOLY CRAP, what a pain in the butt. First of all the keys are programed with an electronic chip that makes it so if you don't get a key programed from the dealership your car will shut down and won't start for at least an hour. This is supposed to be a security feature so someone can't steal your car. I call it a crock. If someone wants to steal my minivan (HAAAA HAAAA HAAAA!!! steal my minivan!!!!) they won't use a key they made. They'll just steal the car! Secondly, you are at the mercy of the price at the dealership which is rediculous. The price for each key was $22.00 -for a key!!!! But wait there's more, then they have to program the key, want to know the handy dandy price for that? $45.00. Of course this programs up to eight keys so at least it's not $45 each key but holy crap! I spent $90.00 today on two keys. What a waste of money, that's more than I spent on filling up the car the other day. Oh, and did I mention it took and hour and a half for them to do it? It was delightful with two tired, bored kids wrestling in the waiting room. Anyways, sorry about the rant. I just had to get that off my chest. Now you know if you ever buy and car and they only have one key for the car make them give you another key before you will buy the car. That is all.

what the crap????
You Are Hip-Hop Music |
You are expressive, intense, and often misunderstood. You appreciate being entertained, and you're not easily offended. You don't shy from controversy or from having opinions. And while you have a strong personality, deep down you just like to have fun. |
Just so you know I hate hip hop music, especially when I can hear it through my rolled up windows from the car behind me.
Unspectacular quirks
Sushiboy tagged me so here goes, it’s good, I have great news to blog about but you’ll have to wait until tomorrow, until then, enjoy!
6 unspectacular quirks
1- I use a lot of bleach in my white laundry, I grew up in a house where my mother would soak the whites in biz, scrub them with a washboard (like the ones you see in little house on the prairie or something), soak them in bleach, then wash them in bleach in the washing machine with the load. I have considerably toned this ritual down and I use about a cup of bleach in the washing machine in the load whenever I do whites, I just really hate dingy whites. I have been known to wash them again to get them white enough.
2- I love to have a beautiful yard and have to remind myself constantly that other people don’t like to garden. It truly is hard for me to understand how people can be fine with a yard full of weeds and no flowers. (I’m not saying this to judge and I don’t, I just have to remind myself that not everyone likes to garden)
3- The two jobs I hate most in this world are laundry and dishes, I feel like they are never ending. You just get done and there is more waiting for you. If sushiboy and I ever become independently wealthy we will have a maid to to the laundry and dishes.
4- I never want to live in a huge house. The house we live in is great, I could handle a little more room, mabey up to 2500 sq ft. but I have never had a desire to have a gigantic house. It just looks like a lot of work and such a waste of money to me. I can’t watch shows that show huge houses off, it makes me angry and I usually walk away muttering “so much good could be done with the money they spent on that house, what a waste” . This again is not to say we shouldn’t live comfortably but I feel like why do we need huge houses?
5- I use cloth diapers when we have babies. People think I’m crazy, I feel like it’s my own little small thing I can do to save the planet. When I think of all the disposable diapers going to landfills it makes me sick. Our landfills are becoming sewers. I do use disposables but rarely. I understand they are so much more convenient and stuff, just a personal choice I’ve made.
6- If my house is dirty I can’t think, I seriously shut down, nothing gets done until my life is in order again. I’m not nearly as bad as my friend Karen though, she puts me to shame, her house is always immaculate, I always clean extra when I know she is coming!
Man, I sound like a snob! I’m really not. . . I think! I think this has gone the rounds so I’m tagging anyone who wants to do this that hasn’t yet. This one made me think, I’m not used to thinking about myself, I usually think about everything but myself. Enjoy learning about some quirks I have!

Happy Birthday Sushiboy and Big Sister
We had two birthdays the last two days. Sushiboy's birthday was on the 29th and Big Sisters was on the 30th. Unfortunately, sushiboy had to be in school on both days, he was pretty peeved. Big Sister had a surprise birthday set up for her at the local Chili's restaurant. It was a lot of fun, I went with the kids then we went over to their house for a little while. Then we picked up Sushiboy on the way home so he didn't have to ride so far on the bus. That was nice to see him for a minute or two. This week will be the week of eating out, tomorrow I have a friend in town and we will be going to dinner, I usually don't eat out that much because it doesn't really fit into our budget, I feel a little guilty, but only a little! Hope you have a great few days!
