What do starfishes eat???

That was the question Cookie just asked me before I took him to school. Guess I better look it up. Southern Utah was fun, the blessing was good and I will post more about them later as well as pictures. Well, I'm off to search about starfishes. . . .

I remember learning about them in Biology and I did a report on a specific type of them in Bio 100 at BYU. Most of them eat shellfish like clams and things. They pry the shells open with their legs and suck up the meat with their mouth, in the center on the underside of their body. You probably found what you were looking for, but just in case...:)

I want to hear about your trip! And, thanks for inviting us over for a little bit. It's nice that you let us intrude on your family get-together. :)

We watched some starfish snack on some clams while in Oregon this past summer. It's actually pretty cool.

I'm glad you had a good weekend.

This post prompted me to search Wikipedia and read about Starfish. It was very interesting. Now I'm off to research how to keep starfish, I've been thinking about setting up a saltwater aquarium.
