Immunizations
Let me be clear, I believe firmly that people who don't immunize their children put the rest of our children at risk, however, it is SO hard to watch your children get their immunizations. Tank had his two month check up today and so the immunization rounds begin. Thankfully, our pediatrician has three of the shots combined into one so he only got poked three times instead of five but to see his sweet little face screaming and see him jump every time they put the needle in breaks my heart. I would rather have him get poked than get the diseases though. Cakes woke up coughing and has been coughing for the past two days so I called this morning and asked if we could just combine tanks appointment with one for cakes and thankfully they were able to do that. Poor cakes has bronchitis and a throat infection. I was supposed to volunteer at cookie's school today but because cakes couldn't go to school I had to cancel on his poor teacher. I felt bad but she is supposed to be on antibiotics for 24 hours before she goes anywhere. My plans for the day have completely changed. Now I'm taking care of a sick little girl and that is taking up most of my time. On a fun note, one of my bridesmaids found me on facebook and I'm adding her blog to my blogroll. See if you can figure out who it is!

I always hated the kids getting shots...at any age.
I miss Facebook. (sniff)

hahahah...when Double G was 3 or so he had to get a booster of something.....at the doctor's offic ehe tried to run away, I caught him around the waist and attempted to pull him back into the room.....the little smartie grabbed hold of the door jam and screamed bloody murder.....after much struggle and and more incredible screaming from him.....I had to promise a trip to the toy store for anything he wanted......he sat in my lap took the shots without a complaint or a tear. He got his trip to the toy store.
hoosiergirl- it really does break my heart. I have mixed feelings about facebook, it just waste so much time. . .
cheer- lol, that was a great story! I too bribe my kids (but thankfully I haven't had to bribe sushiboy yet), they usually get some kind of treat after shots, I know I would want a treat myself.
Yep... protect the herd, get the shots. And we had to combine Pearl into our "well baby" check up too! Just a cold in her case though. How far off the charts is Tanks now?
Your post brought back memories of watching my little ones get their shots. Ugh. Heartbreaking. Thankfully don't remember any of it.
So Allison was which one? She was the one with short blond hair right??? She ended up in my sinlges ward in South Jordan where I meet chad I couldn't believe it one day I saw her and crapped. I hadn't seen her in forever. She was also working at the Kearns Olympic Oval and I started seeing her there. Does she still talk to you? Did she say that she had saw me? I asked about you I remember that.
bon- lol, you are great, protect the herd, funny way to put it! Tank is now 14lbs, 4 oz and 22inches according to my drs office. However, there was a new nurse there who was getting trained and I don't think she measured his height correctly. But, according to her measurments he is about 50% in height and 95% in weight. He just looks like a cute pink marshmallow.
Meritt- amen to that, thankfully they don't remember a lot of things.
heather- yep, that's the one. She did mention she had seen you, I was going to get in touch with you but you know, life happened.
