This excites me

I have to admit that I usually keep FAR FAR AWAY from politics on my blog. However, McCain's move today in choosing Sarah Palin as his VP choice excites me. I was not real thrilled with the choices for president we had. I didn't really like McCain and the more I hear from Obama I definitely don't like him. I find him to be very condescending every time I hear him speak. The more I hear from McCain the more I like him. His choice today was brilliant in my humble opinion. Palin seems to be a woman that I can identify with. This is a fiscally conservative woman who knows what it's like to raise a family. Who knows what it's like to live on a blue collar income. She wasn't educated at some ivy league college. She is a sportswoman. She has taken on corruption and won. I was excited hearing this announcement. Now, remember, we're all friends here and I don't mind conflicting opinions but there's no need to be rude if you disagree with me. We're all entitled to an opinion and my opinion is that this is GREAT.

Too funny - I just did a post about her too! I held my opinion in reserve until I found out more about her... but I'm loving what I'm seeing (which TOTALLY surprises me).

I gave her a thumbs up too!!

NObama. I pay enough taxes, thank you!

I agree, McCain is far from the perfect candidate, but he's getting my vote. I like that Palin is a life member of the NRA.

And she's pretty darn good looking.

Wasn't thrilled with McCain, but NO WAY was I voting for Obama! This choice of Palin as his VP is so freaking smart, it sort of boggles my mind. No matter what, this next election will make history. Smart smart SMART. The more that I hear about this lady, the more I approve.

I can totally relate to this woman as well and I am happy to vote for her. What a historic election we have coming up. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Is it sad that any time a woman is involved with the White House, in a high profile position, I get excited?

Oh my gosh, please forgive me. I am about 28 posts behind on your blog! Since school started I just don't have the time to do much reading.

Anyway, I agree with you about Sarah Palin, but I feel sorry for her and her daughter and all the heat they are taking right now.

meritt- me too, I don't think JUST because someone is a woman is enough of a reason to vote for her, however, if she is a woman I can stand behind then yep, it excites me that she is breaking more glass ceilings.

Nobody- lol, I guess it's good she's good looking, a lot of men seem to like that about her!

Bon-me too

Big sister- It certainly will be, either way it will be historic

lisita- you're in a lot of good company

family tree junkie- lol, nope, I do if she is qualified, if she's there simply because of her gender that doesn't help any of us out.

Hoosier girl- I think it's terrible the beating she has taken from the press, however, if anyone can handle it, she can, I hope her daughter can too. What a hard situation to be in.

Cheer- I'm so glad you weren't afraid to give your opinion! I think a lot of democratic women are still upset she isn't the nominee

Leslie- not at all! That's why I put the link up.

fantastagirl- go look up some of her speaking engagements, she is fantastic and quick on her feet.

Oh, I did mean they better be qualified. I don't want a female in there just to have one. She better be qualified and a smart cookie.
